The Galaxy S23 Ultra made its debut in February last year with a starting price of Rs 1,24,999 (12GB RAM and 256GB storage). As mentioned above, the device has recently received a massive price cut on Amazon India, retailing for Rs 89,999.
All that said, is the Galaxy S23 Ultra worth buying? The answer is yet. While the Galaxy S23 Ultra features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and not the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, it is still capable of providing flagship-tier performance. More than that, the camera hardware is almost the same as that on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Buyers don’t need to worry about the software side as well since the device will keep getting updates even in 2027, with Android 17 being its final version. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra features a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display with a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1750 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy and includes vapor chamber cooling for improved heat dissipation.
The device is built with an Armor Aluminum frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for durability. It features an in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner and operates on Android 13 with Samsung’s OneUI 5.1 out of the box. The device has already received the Android 14-based One UI 6.1.
The rear camera system includes a 200MP primary sensor with OIS, super HDR, and pixel enhancer, a 12MP Ultra Wide lens, a 10MP Telephoto lens with 3x zoom, a 10MP Periscope lens with 10x zoom, and a 3D ToF sensor.
